7. Software updates

Your mirror's software improves over time. When a newer version is ready for your mirror, the app offers it — you install it with one tap. Important fixes can also arrive on their own; the app tells you when that happens.

Updating from the app

Open your mirror's details in the app. You'll always see the software version the mirror is currently running — and when Eclario has published a newer one, an Update button naming the version it will install.

• Tap the button and the update starts. The new software downloads in the background — the light and buttons keep working normally the whole time — and the update ends with a brief restart, well under a minute. After the restart the light is off; a tap brings it back.
• The app shows the update running, and afterwards the new version — with a confirmation once it's done.
• If the mirror is offline at that moment, the update simply waits and starts by itself the next time the mirror comes online. The app says so — there is nothing to watch.

Updates Eclario installs for you

Important fixes can install without you starting them. This is never invisible: the app lets you know the update is running, and it works exactly the same way as one you start yourself.

Built-in safety

• The mirror installs only software that is genuinely published by Eclario — it verifies every update before installing it.
• A failed update cannot break the mirror. If new software doesn't start properly, the mirror automatically returns to the previous version on its own — and the app tells you it did.
